How much do your services cost? All of our displays are tailor-made to fit your event needs. As such fees vary widely based on requested services. The troupe has done smaller 10-15min LED or fire displays for a few hundred; they have also done firework displays and special effects for haunted events for thousands. Troupe representatives works with our clients to determine what would be best for their event based on type of display desired and event budget.

Where can you perform?Kaiyakura can perform at almost any venue both indoors and outdoors. Indoor pyro and fire displays are possible, please contact troupe for details and specific permitting requirements for indoor displays. Kaiyakura is based in Dayton and mostly performs in the south-western Ohio area. The troupe travels further by request but we would need to confirm details and ensure we can get a permit in your locality based on what services are being requested.

What do you mean by "licensed" performers? The state of Ohio requires anyone displaying fireworks, pyrotechnics, or flame effects to be licensed with the Ohio State Fire Marshal's office as a way to provide a level of safety for Ohio residents. There has been an recent climb in random street performers causing injuries and property damage with unpermitted shows. Kaiyakura works with the OSFM to help develop and train new safety standards for fire performance. Exhibitors are required to prove they are skilled in the use of flame/pyro effects, clear a FBI background check, and pass a written test prior to be granted a license. All fire performers are also subject to these laws and every fire performer of Kaiyakura has this license.

Do your displays leave marks or damage?Any time you are working with fire or pyrotechnics, there is a potential for marks or property damage. Kaiyakura strives to limit our impact on our performance space. Some examples include: -elevating ground effects to prevent scorched earth -spinning off surplus fuel into containers for recollection -recycling the waste produced when making our effects (sometimes this waste can even become another effect in the show!) Fireworks will always have paper debris left scattered around the launch site. This paper is designed to break down quickly and is lawn mower safe.
